Miami hosted 44 2024 recruits for official visits during June, giving the Hurricanes 12 remaining official visit spots to hand out this season and winter.

Miami also has four committed prospects who have not official visited but will eventually in Daylen Russell, Chris Wheatley-Humphrey, Vincent Shavers and Ryan Mack, so we can effectively cut that number down to eight remaining official visit spots as we creep toward the start of the 2023 season.

Here are four players who didn’t visit Miami this June the Hurricanes still need to bring to campus.

Joshisa Trader | Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna | 4-star WR, No. 31 overall recruit | 6-foot-0.5, 175 pounds

+++ This one is obvious. Trader did not take any official visits in June due to his mother’s undisclosed health-related issues which made her unable to attend official visits last month, but he attended Miami’s Legends Camp June 22 to work out for the Hurricanes’ coaching staff. He’s continued to be one of Miami’s top receiver prospects in this class but is also considering  Florida StateGeorgia and Ohio State. He took an unofficial visit to FSU June 9 with some teammates, although the Hurricanes are still the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine’s overwhelming favorite to land the four-star receiver. Still, it should go without saying that Miami needs to host him for an official visit.

Zaquan Patterson | Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna | 4-star S, No. 72 overall recruit | 6-foot-0.5, 185 pounds

+++ Like Trader, Patterson didn’t take any official visits in June but took a few unofficial trips to some of his top schools. He visited Miami June 7, Ohio State June 12 and Michigan June 23, all of whom are continuing to push for the four-star safety. We still like where Miami sits with him even though he isn’t naming a frontrunner, but formally locking in an official visit with him is a must. Patterson is easily the best safety in South Florida and has made four trips to Coral Gables this spring. The Hurricanes have remained in good standing throughout his recruitment, but the next step is bringing him back for an official visit. He previously said he anticipates taking an in-season official.

Ryan Wingo | St. Louis (Mo.) St. Louis University | 4-star WR, No. 27 overall recruit | 6-foot-2, 215 pounds

+++ On3’s Chad Simmons reported in late May Wingo was hoping to take an in-season official visit to the Hurricanes, and the four-star receiver took officials to Georgia, Michigan, Texas and Missouri in June. Miami made a big impression on Wingo during his early May unofficial visit to Coral Gables, which he liked so much he chose to extend his trip by a day. Miami needs to bring him back to campus for an official visit this fall to stay in the race for Wingo, who is trending toward Georgia according to the On3 Recruiting Predicton Machine.

Elijah Rushing | Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic | 4-star EDGE, No. 30 overall recruit | 6-foot-6, 225 pounds

+++ Miami may be a little more on the backburner for Rushing, who is trending toward Oregon and also took official visits to Notre Dame, Tennessee and Arizona, but the door hasn’t been totally shut on the Hurricanes. He said earlier this month he’s still willing to consider an in-season official visit to Miami but does not have anything scheduled. The Hurricanes aren’t completely out of the race here, but Miami likely needs to bring him back to campus to have a real chance.
