Rusty’s Ramblings: Georgia adding BIG pieces to the 2024 class?

A wild few weeks of official visits has led us here — the dead period. It’s day two of the NCAA-mandated slow-down on the recruiting trail and it’ll last until the last week or so in July. Georgia made the most of the spring and early summer and that’s why the notes from DawgsHQ are plentiful. We’ve got more for you below.
It is safe to say that Georgia wanted to use the 2024 class to get bigger on the offensive line. I was going over the commitments last night and comparing it to the list of guys the Bulldogs are still recruiting, singling out those I feel are the most major of targets.
***Here are the heights and weights, starting with the guys who are committed
Malachi Tolliver – 6-foot-5, 318 pounds
Marcus Harrison – 6-foot-8, 335 pounds
***Then you have the top targets
Daniel Calhoun – 6-foot-6, 360 pounds
Marques Easley 6-foot-5 ¾, 345 pounds
Nyier Daniels 6-foot-8, 370 pounds
Michael Uini – 6-foot-7, 336 pounds
Brandon Baker – 6-foot-5, 302 pounds
Keep an eye on the situation with Michael Uini. He is set to make his college decision on Friday. According to a source close to this, Georgia is very much a factor. I would go as far as to say that based on what I’m hearing right now, there’s some buzz around the Bulldogs. I know Michigan is mentioned a lot, but this is coming down to the wire between Alabama and Georgia in my opinion. Again, that is from talking with multiple sources. We will obviously continue to report on this one, but Georgia used an official visit to quickly pick up steam with another very talented 2024 offensive line prospect.
