2025 NFL Draft: Contract details revealed for Cowboys 1st-round pick Tyler Booker

After the Dallas Cowboys selected him in the 2025 NFL Draft, Tyler Booker’s contract details have been revealed. Booker was the No. 12 overall pick.

Booker is set to sign a four-year contract worth $22.5 million, according to Spotrac. As part of his standard rookie deal, he will also have a fifth-year option.

In his three seasons at Alabama, Booker made 37 appearances and 27 starts. He played and started in all 13 of Alabama’s games this season. Booker finished the year with a team-high 87 knockdown blocks (7.3 per game) across 653 snaps of play.

The 6-foot-5, 325-pound standout was a permanent team captain for the Crimson Tide this season. For his excellent play, he was named a First-Team All-SEC selection and a first team All-American by both CBS Sports and USA Today.

“It has been an honor to be a captain and a graduate at The University of Alabama. Although I will be moving on to my next step in life, a piece of me will always be in Tuscaloosa,” he said after announcing his NFL Draft declaration. “Roll Tide Roll.”

Additionally, Booker was recognized as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week three times this season (Missouri, LSU and Auburn). Tyler Booker gave no shortage of thanks in his statement announcing his decision to enter the draft.

Booker played high school football at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 30 overall player from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

What NFL Draft analysts are saying about Tyler Booker

Now that Tyler Booker has been drafted, fans may be wondering what to expect from their new offensive lineman. NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein provided his analysis of the standout guard.

Zierlein: “Two-year starter and team captain with elite physical traits. Booker is a downhill run blocker with average explosiveness into first contact, but he utilizes his size and power to overtake defenders in the second phase of the block. He can play too far out over his toes but that’s correctable.

“Booker is an average athlete in protection but makes up for it with technique and football intelligence to defend against twists. He’s tough, smart and a top leader. The traits, football character and play strength will make him a good starter for a downhill, power-based attack.”
