2025 NFL Draft: Mason Graham reflects on Michigan career: ‘Highs and lows’

Mason Graham, a projected top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, reflected on his Michigan career going through the ringer. The defensive tackle got playing time right away as a freshman in 2022 and helped win a national title in 2023.
But not even making the playoff this past season was certainly a different perspective. But from what he learned from teammates, through his own development and helping the young guys, Graham wouldn’t change a thing.
Carrying that mentality over to the NFL will be key. Being a dominant force in the middle is expected of Graham wherever he lands in the NFL.
“I feel like there’s a lot to remember, you know,” Graham told On3. “I went from the highs, the lows, you know, winning national championships and, you know, not even making the playoffs. So I feel like, you know, everyone that comes to Michigan is like minded, has similar goals, you know, winning national championships, Big Ten championships, beating Ohio State.
“So I feel like just the guys my team as a freshman, you know, Mazi Smith, Kris Jenkins, just learning from those type of guys, and then just progressing myself as a player, and then obviously, you know, the same effect, I hope guys look up to me and, you know, try to recreate what me and some my other teammates did.”
Graham finished his three years at Michigan with 108 tackles, nine sacks, 18 tackles for loss, three pass deflections, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble. He logged career highs across the board in 2024 and was named a Unanimous All-American.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Graham was a four-star recruit out of Anaheim (Calif.) Servite, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 22 overall prospect in the state, the No. 36 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 298 overall prospect in the class.
Head & Shoulders is hyped to introduce the next group of greats to our NFL partnership roster. We know that in order for athletes to compete against the best, they need to be at their best. That means making every practice count, so they are constantly improving their game. The same goes with their hair wash routine. Head & Shoulders knows that throughout the season athletes put their scalp through a lot, with long sweaty practices and games in a tight helmet.
That’s why, with every wash, athletes reach for Head & Shoulders. Not only does it fight flakes and scalp irritation, but their game day cut is always looking fresh. Consistency is key on and off the field. Just as athletes show up powerful in every practice to go get game ready, they’re using Head & Shoulders in every wash to fight dandruff and keep it from coming back.
“Mason Graham, gosh, he’s so fun,” NFL Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said. “I watched him on tape, and I fell in love with him. I got a chance to go to their game against Oregon, and there are a bunch of personnel guys and GMs down on the field, and we’re walking down there, and I see Mason Graham walk by. And, of course, he’s next to [defensive tackle] Kenneth Grant, his teammate, who looks like a cartoon character, like he looks like an adonis, how big he is.”
