Florida State freshman defensive tackle D’Nas White entering transfer portal

With spring football now complete, the Florida State football team said farewell to a number of players on Monday, and the latest on that list is freshman defensive tackle D’Nas White.

White told Warchant on Monday evening that he plans to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday, and his name has since been moved from the Seminoles’ official roster.

White, who was a three-star prospect coming out of high school in the Class of 2024, played in one game for Florida State this past season as a true freshman. He saw eight snaps in that game against Charleston Southern and would have been a redshirt freshman in 2025.

At 6-foot-4 and 336 pounds, White was rated the No. 88 defensive tackle in the country and the No. 30 prospect in North Carolina, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was the No. 938 prospect overall.

White is the eighth Florida State player to enter the portal during the spring window, joining offensive guard TJ Ferguson, defensive end Aaron Hester, wide receivers Hykeem Williams, Jalen Brown and Jordan Scott, quarterback Trever Jackson and offensive lineman Jaylen Early.
