Dylan Day “110 percent” with Miami Hurricanes off his official visit, will enroll in December: “The visit went great”

Rouge (LA) Southern University Lab School S Dylan Day is a Miami Hurricanes commitment who took his UM official visit over the weekend.

“The visit went great,” Day said. “Everything I was expecting they checked off every box, left no doubt.”

Day says in particular he liked “sitting down and talking ball with coach (Lance) Guidry and coach (Jahmile) Addae.”

He says the coaches told him that as a versatile safety in the Guidry defense he will be lining up all over the field including at nickel … and that he’ll also at times have one-on-one coverage responsibility.

“It was great me finding out the defense I’ll be in the next 4 years,” Day said. “They talked about how they’ll move me around, that I’m a true combo guy. They said how they can put me at everywhere.”

Day is the No. 640 overall prospect and No. 65 safety in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Day says “a lot of others” are still reaching out to gauge his interest.

This visit helped put the final nail in his recruitment.

“I was 100 percent from the jump, knew what I wanted and Miami was that,” Day said. “But this left no doubt in my mind at all. I’m locked in 110 percent percent.”

Day says he’s not taking any other visits and will enroll at UM in December.

Day took the visit with his parents, brother and sister and it was all that he expected. He was hosted by Kam Kinchens and Davonte Brown. “They were cool guys, real laid back,” Day said. “They told me the real, that everything is good, strong vibes.” Miami did a great job making sure that Day is locked in off this visit, and he’s a big part of a recruiting class that the Canes hope can get into the nation’s top 10.
