Michigan State lands FAU transfer Kaleb Glenn in key portal addition

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State added an important addition via the transfer portal on Thursday when Kaleb Glenn, a 6-foot-7 wing forward formerly of Florida Atlantic, committed to the Spartans.

Glenn made his commitment on Tuesday night. His commitment became official on Thursday.

Glenn averaged 12.6 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Owls during the 2024-25 season while shooting 41.7 percent from 3-point range and 53.2 percent from the floor. He shot 62 percent from the foul line. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Glenn led FAU in scoring while coming off the bench this season. He was named Second Team All-Conference in the American Conference.

Michigan State played against Glenn in an 86-69 victory over Florida Atlantic on Dec. 21. Glenn had a quiet night, scoring six points on 2-of-9 shooting. He was 0-for-5 from 3-point range with one rebound and one steal, but he did enough through the course of the season to earn all-league recognition and the respect of Michigan State’s coaching staff.

Glenn, a native of Louisville, transferred to FAU from Louisville after the 2023-24 season. Glenn was a four-star recruit by On3, and listed the No. 79 player in the country in 2023 in the On3 Industry Rankings.

As a freshman at Louisville, he started 11 games, averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 48.6 percent from the field. He had a season-high 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting against Pittsburgh on Feb. 17, 2024.

The addition of Glenn gives Michigan State nine players on scholarship for the 2025-26 season. Sources tell SpartanMag that Michigan State is looking to add at least one more player in the transfer portal and likely two.

Michigan State, which advanced to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight last week, lost Tre Holloman, Xavier Booker and Gehrig Normand via the transfer portal shortly after the season ended. Jase Richardson announced on Tuesday that he is entering the NBA Draft. Michigan State lost seniors Frankie Fidler, Jaden Akins and Szymon Zapala to graduation.
