Georgia lands Cal transfer guard Jeremiah Wilkinson

Georgia lands Cal transfer guard Jeremiah Wilkinson

Georgia basketball has landed its first big addition of the 2025 offseason. California guard Jeremiah Wilkerson has committed to transfer to Georgia according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

The Atlanta native averaged 15.1 points per game. Wilkerson was a three-star prospect coming out of high school.

He played his prep basketball at The Skills Academy in Atlanta in his senior season. Wilkerson was the ACC Sixth Man of the Year in his freshman year. He led Cal in 3-pointers with 60 last season.

He comes to Georgia looking to fill a position of need for Georgia. The Bulldogs lost point guard Silas Demary to the transfer portal last week.

The Bulldogs moved quickly to potentially fill their lead guard spot. On3’s Jamie Shaw gave Wilkerson high praise during his freshman year at Cal.

“The 6-foot-1 guard committed to Cal the August after his senior year of high school. He went on to play a prep season to get ready for Cal where he averaged over 33 points per game,” Shaw wrote in an Oct. 17 report previewing the ACC’s top impact freshmen. “The lefty is able to self-create in the half court, using a quick first step and good balance, able to pull up at multiple levels. With a Cal roster featuring 10 new players, there will be opportunity for Wilkinson to take ahold of.”
