Purdue guard Myles Colvin enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Purdue guard Myles Colvin has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. Colvin played two seasons for the Boilermakers.
During this past season, Colvin averaged 5.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. He appeared in 66 games during his two seasons with Purdue. This past season, he played in every game for his team while logging eight starts during the season. Each of his averages were up from the previous season.
His most impressive outing of the season was a 20-point performance on Nov. 29 during a 70-78 win against Ole Miss. He shot 8 of 11 from the field, including three made 3-point baskets along while adding four rebounds to the stat sheet.
In total, he scored in double figures on five occasions, as was a steady hand for the Boilermakers during the Big Ten Conference Tournament, as well as during Purdue’s run in the NCAA Tournament.
Colvin was used more sparingly uring his true freshman season. Duing the Boilermaker’s run to the Final Four in 2024, he saw action in every game, including the national chamionship where he logged 12 minutes for Purdue.
However, he was scoreless in five of him team’s six games during last year’s tournament. Colvin scored nine points in a 106-67 win over Utah State in that year’s Round of 32.
Before arriving on campus in West Lafayette, Colvin was a former top-100 recruit from the 2023 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 77 overall recruit, No. 18 shooting guard, as well as the No. 2 overall player out of the state of Indiana behind Michigan State‘s Xavier Booker.
Colvin’s status as a four-star recruit earned him a strong reputation coming out of high school. For his efforts, he also held offers from his home state school, Indiana, as well as Butler and Miami (OH), among others.
As of Wednesday, March 26, over 1,250 Men’s College Basketball players have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. That number is expected to grow as the 2024-25 college basketball season nears its end.
