Damian Lillard injury update: Bucks announce star guard out indefinitely with scary medical issue

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard is out indefinitely with deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in his right calf, the team announced Tuesday. Lillard is currently on blood thinning medication in effort ot stabilize the DVT.

“Damian’s health is our No. 1 priority,” general manager Jon Horst said in the announcement. “We will support him as he moves through this weekly process of strict criteria to ensure that it is safe for him to return to play. Doctors have indicated his situation is very unlikely to occur again. We are thankful that this was identified and medicated quickly, which helps with the recovery.”
