Ross Chastain takes a jab at Carson Hocevar during drivers only Truck Series broadcast

Tonight things look a bit different on the FOX NASCAR Truck Series broadcast. Carson Hocevar is pit reporting and Ross Chastain is racing. These two are good friends off the track, but Chastain couldn’t help to rib his younger Cup Series competitor.

Both Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar raced for Niece Motorsports in the Truck Series. They still do on occasion. You could say Niece helped introduce both of these talents to the NASCAR world.

While the 22-year-old Hocevar was interviewing the 32-year-old Chastain, the Trackhouse Racing driver couldn’t help but crack a joke. And it was a good one.

“I’d say I’m the most relieved though that you’ve got a microphone in your hand and not a steering wheel though,” Chastain said before Hocevar signed off to the booth, via Steven Taranto of CBS Sports.
