Columbus (Fla.) wins fourth-straight FHSAA 7A basketball state title

For the fourth time in as many seasons, Columbus High stands atop Florida high school basketball.

Led as they have been for each of the past few seasons by twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the Explorers dominated Windermere 68-36 to secure their fourth straight 7A state title and complete one of the most impressive runs in Sunshine State basketball history.

Columbus led from wire-to-wire, jumping out to a double-digit lead within the first few minutes and leading 47-15 at the halftime break. With a little over seven minutes to play in the final frame, both Boozer brothers checked out of the game to a standing ovation.

Cameron led the Explorers with an efficient 20 points, while junior Jaxon Richardson contributed 16 and Cayden added 12.

The Duke-bound twin brothers finish with a career record of 114-16 and leave high school basketball as two of the most decorated players in state history.
