Spring Visits Continue: Alabama hosting Georgia products, Nate Oats also welcomes Top 25 recruit
Alabama will host additional recruits during the second day of spring practice. BOL provides a look at the two Peach State players who are scheduled for visits, including one who is hoping to score an offer from Alabama. Kalen DeBoer is not the only head coach with a potential target on campus today.
It’s been a great start to the week as Alabama hosted a few Top 100 targets on Monday, including Elbert Hill, No. 3 CB from Archbishop Hoban in Akron, Ohio (In-depth feature post visit), and Titan Davis, No. 7 DL from DeSmet Catholic in St. Louis. Alabama commitment Alex Ward, ’27 Top 100 ATH from Walton HS in Marietta, Ga, was also in attendance.
Two new offers were extended during the day in the ’27 class- Trae Taylor, quarterback from Carmel Catholic in Lake in the Hills, Ill., and Nate Carson, OL from Irmo High School in South Carolina. Taylor spoke on his second trip to Tuscaloosa- HERE. Carson spoke in-depth with BOL about his visit with the Tide. He also intends to return for A-Day.
Below is a look at the Wednesday visitors:
Brandon Anderson, four-star interior OL from North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Ga.: Anderson included Alabama in his top 10 in October, but he has not returned to since he attended the UGA game on September 28. The former Tennessee commitment received an offer from Alabama last spring, and he also camped last summer. He isn’t a new name on the recruiting board, but the visit will give UA a chance to get reacquainted. He currently has OVs dates with UGA (5/30), Missouri (6/6), FSU (6/13) and Tennessee (6/20).

Stewart will take his first known visit to Tuscaloosa on Wednesday. He does not have an offer Alabama prior to the trip. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound safety has received several offers, and he is coming off a visit from Miami on Monday. He visited Florida and Texas in January, both schools have offered. Stewart has scheduled official visits with SMU (5/2), Clemson (5/30) and Miami (6/13). He starred on both sides of the ball during the ’24 season with 38 receptions for 467 yards and three touchdowns on offense. He had 80 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions and eight pass break-ups on defense.
Nate Oats hosting Top 25-overall player on important night
The Alabama basketball program will also host an intriguing prospect on Wednesday. Former Miami signee Matthew Able, No. 7 shooting guard in the ’25 class, re-opened his recruitment on 2/28. The de-commitment stems from former Hurricanes coach Jim Larranaga’s decision to step down in late December. Able visited Tennessee on March 1. He will also visit Baylor on March 8. BOL will learn more about the Tide’s position/push with Able after his visit to the Capstone. Able was called one of the Top 10 long-range shooters in the 2025 class per On3 Sports.
Quick look ahead:
A more in-depth look at the weekend visitors will post in the coming days. Alabama will host one of the best overall players in the country as Ethan ‘Boobie’ Feaster, No. 7 wide receiver DeSoto High School in Texas, will begin an unofficial visit on Thursday-Saturday (More on Feaster’s interest in UA). BOL has also confirmed weekend visits from Kanon Smith, OT from Valor Christian in Denver, Jimmy Kalis, ’27 OL from Central Catholic School in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Albert Simien, ’27 OL from Sam Houston HS in Lake Charles, La.
