Fran McCaffery talks loss to Wildcats

Fran McCaffery isn’t used to talking about his teams offensive performance suffering. But, that’s exactly what happened on Friday night as Northwestern limited Iowa’s ability to attack the rim and that lead to a 68-57 victory for the Wildcats.

McCaffery spoke in-depth about the loss and what the Wildcats did to hold an offense that was averaging over 80 points a game to just 57 on Friday evening. He talks about the strong play from Drew Thelwell, another game with an extremely slow start on offense, and the emotion he saw from Payton Sandfort following the game and why he loves him as a player.
