Miami QB commit Judd Anderson hoping to make impressions with fellow Hurricanes pledges, uncommitted prospects on official visit

Gray (Ga.) Jones County 2024 three-star quarterback Judd Anderson committed to Miami more than two months ago. So what does he want to get out of his official visit to Coral Gables this weekend?
“First of all, I haven’t been down there in awhile since that first visit in April when I committed, so I think it will just be a good time to just get down there,” Anderson said. “Really, it’ll just be good to dive in deeper with those coaches, be able to enjoy myself and just be around a lot of guys who are also committed too and get to meet a lot of those guys. I know it’ll be a really great time and it’ll be awesome.”
Anderson will be one of 20 official visitors the Hurricanes host this weekend and one of six commits to take his official visit to Miami.
He’s also looking forward to recruiting a few of Miami’s uncommitted prospects, several of which he’s met before.
“I’m really just looking forward to getting to hang out with those guys,” Anderson said. “I’m really looking forward to that. …I think it’s really just about showing them a good time, and that’s what they’re looking for in Miami. Just showing them what the program is all about. That’s really all you can do. I think we have some great guys who are commits already who are going to show them and make them feel welcome there. I think that’s really all we can do and that’s the best thing we can do. Just make them feel welcome, make them feel at home.
Anderson shut down his recruitment after committing to Miami and is in constant contact with head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, both of whom continue to make him feel like a priority despite already being committed, he said. He said Dawson has monitored his offseason and texted him congratulations after his 7-on-7 team won a competition at Georgia earlier this month, and he’s continuing to feel close with the staff.
Anderson is excited to continue to build his bond with the staff this weekend.
“Also I’m really excited to see how the offense is looking right now with coach Dawson and all of those guys there right now in summer workouts. I’ll get to dive into that and dive into what’s really going on with the program. I feel like that will be a pretty big deal, and I’m just excited to see that and see how everything’s progressing.”
CaneSport’s Take
With his recruitment shut down, Anderson has turned to trying to build relationships with the rest of the 2024 class and help recruit talent to Miami. With a massive fellow official visitors list this weekend, he’ll certainly have his opportunities to connect with some of the Hurricanes’ top targets.
