Frank Mason lobbies for future Kansas GM job amid roster questions

Frank Mason III was one of the best players in Kansas basketball history during his time there. The Virginia native was a consensus first team All-American and the National College Player of the Year in 2017. It was a season in which he propelled the Jayhawks to a 31-5 overall record and a Big 12 Regular Season title. In the NCAA Tournament, the Jayhawks lost in the Elite Eight to the Oregon Ducks.
With colleges across America needing General Managers to handle their football and basketball teams, the former KU great decided to throw his hat in the ring for the potential Jayhawk GM job. A reporter recently asked Kansas head coach Bill Self about potentially hiring a GM. And Mason jumped at the opportunity to let everyone know he’s interested in the position if it becomes available. He tweeted his interest in the position on Friday evening.
“I have a great eye for talent and 100% sure I’d find the perfect players to wear Kansas across their chest and compete at the highest level every-night!” Mason noted.
