Parker Kligerman reacts to Henderson Motorsports appeal denied after Daytona Truck Series heartbreak

Parker Kligerman reacts to Henderson Motorsports appeal denied after Daytona Truck Series heartbreak

After Parker Kligerman’s disqualification during the NASCAR Truck Series race at Daytona, Henderson Motorsports appealed the decision. It was denied, and Kligerman reacted to the decision Thursday night.

Kligerman posted a message on social media appreciating those who reached out after Saturday’s heartbreak. The disqualification came after failing a post-race inspection.

In his post, Kligerman said he’d go into more details on his podcast. But he also included a photo of an important memento – the checkered flag.

Thank you all for the support. This has been one of the hardest weeks of my racing life. I worked with the team 24/7 on the appeal since Saturday night.

“Thank you all for the support,” Kligerman wrote. “This has been one of the hardest weeks of my racing life. I worked with the team 24/7 on the appeal since Saturday night. The truck raced legal. And won legal. Due to an unfortunate circumstance in tech. It was measured at an improper height that made the rear low by 1/8 inch on the LR and 1/4 inch on the RR.

“I will go into full details with my buddy @landoncassill on @themoneylap podcast next week. I still have the checkered flag.”

More on NASCAR’s decision to deny Parker Kligerman appeal

Kligerman failed post-race ride height requirements, which led to his disqualification. That gave Corey Heim the win in the Truck Series race at Daytona. Henderson Motorsports said it would appeal, and the decision came down Thursday when NASCAR denied it.

“Update: Unfortunately we have lost our appeal regarding our disqualification from last week’s race in Daytona,” the team posted on its social media. “While we feel that we had a very strong case, we respect the panel’s decision. We’d again like to thank all the fans for their support. We’ve shown that we can compete, and we’ll be back. See you all in Bristol!”

Thursday’s post marked the first time Parker Kligerman addressed the DQ. He previously said he wouldn’t discuss the situation until Henderson was able to present its case. In the meantime, he turned his attention to his duties with The CW and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

“Biggest win of my life,” Kligerman posted to X/Twitter. “Thank you all for the wonderful messages. Over 700 texts. I will not be commenting any further until we are able to present what I believe is a very, very valid case.

“Until then, I’m fully focused on my job with [The CW Sports] and [NASCAR Xfinity Series] because the drivers and teams deserve the full focus on the massive stage ahead of them.”
