Auburn social media trolls ‘little brother’ following Iron Bowl win vs. Alabama

The top-ranked Auburn Tigers handled their rivals on Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide, in one of the most highly anticipated games of the 2024-2025 college basketball season. Auburn rolled to a nine-point lead at halftime, and took care of business in the second half, finishing with a 94-85 win in their Iron Bowl matchup. Following the win, the Tigers didn’t hesitate to troll the Crimson Tide with a video on Twitter.
The showdown of No. 1 vs. No. 2 could be a preview of what’s to come in the SEC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. A lot of different things would have to fall in place for a rematch to occur, but both teams are among the best in the country.
Auburn got double digit scoring from six players: Johni Broome-19 points, Denver Jones-16 points, Miles Kelly-15 points, Chaney Johnson-14 points, and Chad Baker-Mazara-15 points. Tigers stud freshman Tahaad Pettiford chipped in 13 points.
Auburn torched the nets from downtown, connecting on 12 of their 30 shots from beyond-the-arc (40.0%). Alabama was ice cold from three-point range, only hitting five of 26 shots (19.2%). The Crimson Tide also only hit 27 of 70 shots from the field (38.6%). The Tigers finished with 13 assists, compared to eight for Alabama.
The Crimson Tide had two players dominate the glass for them, Cliff Omoruyi and Grant Nelson, who both finished with 12 boards apiece.
