Florida pass-rusher hits radar with Gamecocks offer

Milton (Florida) Pace EDGE prospect Tylon Lee turned in a strong performance at a Gamecocks prospect camp session several days ago.
The work he put in earned him a scholarship offer from assistant coach Sterling Lucas at the end of the day.
“It was amazing. I loved everything,” Lee told GamecockCentral.com of his time in Columbia. “I loved the facilities, all the coaches, that I got to learn different things.”

Lucas interacted plenty with the Florida junior during the day’s lineman camp, and Lee liked what he saw out of the second-year assistant’s style.
“He liked how I was competing and stuff, hustling hard, being coachable,” Lee said of Lucas.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking – a weighed average of all four major recruiting services, Lee checks in as the nation’s number 31 EDGE prospect for the 2025 class. He’s also ranked as the number 58 player in the state of Florida.
Florida State, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Memphis, Duke, and numerous others have also extended scholarships to the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder.

Lee was excited to hear the news of the offer from the Gamecocks.
“It means a lot. That’s my third SEC offer. I’m working my way to the stop slowly, so that means a lot to me,” he said.
Shane Beamer’s positive program culture was also evident to to Lee during the trip.
“As far as the coaches, they’re really close to the players and everything. While I was out there, the players were teaching and helping us and everything. They were having fun. I’d love to be somewhere like that,” he said.
Florida and Miami are also planned trips for Lee, with a trip to Georgia also possible in the month of July.

After FSU’s recent offer, the Seminoles jumped into the lead according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with just under a 32 percent chance.
During the 2022 football season, Lee tallied 75 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks.
