Landon Dickerson injury update: Eagles LG reveals status for Super Bowl vs. Chiefs

Philadelphia Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson is one of the toughest players in the NFL, and that was on full display during the NFC Championship Game victory over the Washington Commanders.

Dickerson started the game at center in place of the injured Cam Jurgens but was limited through much of the first half with a left knee injury. Jurgens, who was dealing with a back injury, had to come in to finish the second half for Dickerson. But that injury won’t keep him from playing in Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

And nothing is keeping him off the field.

“Probably getting carted off on a stretcher,” said Dickerson, when asked Wednesday what the threshold would be for him to not finish the game, per Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Dickerson, 26, is a big part of Philadelphia’s dominance up front. A Pro Bowler each of the last three seasons, Dickerson has started 62-of-63 games since entering the league in 2021. And when it comes to the Tush Push, Dickerson plays a key role in the success of that play as well.

It’ll take everybody for the Eagles to knock off the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Chiefs, just as it did against Washington.

“It takes everybody,” Dickerson said after the win over the Commanders. We knew that from the get-go, it would take everybody. Cam battled his ass off. I think he did a great job. It takes everybody on this team. It doesn’t matter who it is. I’m proud of everybody out here.

“… Everybody knows their role, everything is battling. Everybody’s going to do everything they can to win this game.”
