LSU’s NFL Draft prospects shine in All-Star bowl practices
LSU has several NFL prospects vying to hear their name called in the NFL Draft come April, but this week has marked an important period for many of them, participating in various All-Star bowl games. The most widely accessible is the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama which continues practices and plays its game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. There’s also the East-West Shrine Bowl in Dallas on Thursday at 7 p.m.
LSU has five players at the Senior Bowl and three players at the Shrine Bowl, with Will Campbell not participating in either and Kyren Lacy also not at the Senior Bowl due to his legal troubles.
Here’s a rundown of the LSU players who are receiving rave reviews along with videos of them and how they have performed. All videos are linked to the tweets they are sent from.

OL Miles Frazier, Senior Bowl
The former LSU guard showed he has the versatility to play tackle at a high level in LSU’s bowl win over Baylor and now continues to show that he’s an elite pass protector at either position in Senior Bowl practices this week. He’s perhaps the biggest winner of any LSU player so far in the past few days.
OL Emery Jones, Senior Bowl
Jones has shown that he’s also capable of playing both guard and tackle at the next level this week. He had a great battle with Texas A&M’s Shemar Stewart who beat him clean on the edge one rep before Jones got him back and won the next rep. Definitely a player who is trying to up his draft stock in the coming days and appears to be having success.
TE Mason Taylor, Senior Bowl
Taylor opted to head to the NFL Draft instead of returning for his senior year at LSU and it appears he’s made the most of his first few days in Mobile, winning one-on-ones, making plays in 7-on-7 and showing off his talent level for all of the scouts in attendance. He projects to he a top five tight end in this class and is further solidifying that notion.
DE Sai’Vion Jones, Senior Bowl
Jones comes off of a quality season in 2024 with LSU and shot up the draft projections in the past few months, looking like a day two selection. Now, he continues to impress in the Senior Bowl practices with his versatility as a pass rusher and experience.
Other notes
OL Garrett Dellinger has gotten work at both guard and center at the Senior Bowl. I saw a clip of him making a nice block in the run game to open a hole for a back, but also there’s a viral clip of TJ Sanders from South Carolina absolutely crushing him in a one-on-one rep.
CB Zy Alexander has reportedly garnered interest from the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns. We’ll see how he performs in the Shrine Bowl game tonight. He’s regarded as a top 100 prospect on many boards.
LB Greg Penn and DE Bradyn Swinson will also be focal points for LSU fans in tonight’s East-West Shrine Bowl.
