Notre Dame Football Evaluation Camp II Preview: Seven recruits to know

High school football prospects will once again flood Notre Dame’s campus Tuesday. The Fighting Irish expect to host about 140 recruits for its second of three Evaluation Camps this summer.

Most prospects attending Notre Dame’s Evaluation Camp II want to put themselves on the radar of Power Five programs. Still, a select group has already caught their attention … and even Notre Dame.

Here are seven names to know competing in Thursday’s Notre Dame Evaluation Camp II.

Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra three-star S Tre’ Harrison (2025)

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound Tre’ Harrison is one of two campers with a current Irish scholarship offer. Notre Dame offered him during its “Pot of Gold Day” recruiting event on March 17. The Irish sent out 64 other offers to 2025 recruits that same day.

Harrison’s Notre Dame visit began Monday. It is his first unofficial college recruiting visit. In addition to the Irish, he has offers from Boston College and Colorado State. He has also received interest from Stanford and Yale.

The On3 Industry Ranking — a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services — considers Harrison a three-star recruit and No. 430 overall player, No. 36 safety and No. 47 prospect in California. He has an 85.83 rating.

In On3’s own rankings, Harrison is the No. 35 safety and No. 44 prospect in California. On3 gave him an 87 rating.

Harrison’s On3 NIL Valuation annual value is $19,800.

Washington, D.C. St. John’s College High four-star CB Tariq Hayer (2025)

The 5-11, 175-pound Tariq Hayer is the second recruit with a Notre Dame offer to participate in Tuesday’s camp. And he is undoubtedly the headliner.

Hayer reports 13 Power Five offers, including ones from Penn State, Maryland, Virginia Tech and South Carolina — all schools he has visited. He’s also been to Clemson and Ohio State, except neither school has pulled the trigger on an offer.

The On3 Industry Ranking evaluates Hayer as the No. 172 overall player, No. 18 cornerback and No. 2 prospect in Washington, D.C in 2025. He has a 91.30 rating.

In On3’s own rankings, he is the No. 114 overall player, No. 8 cornerback and No. 2 prospect in Washington, D.C. On3 gave him a 91 rating.

Hayer’s On3 NIL Valuation annual value is $46,000.

Cincinnati Elder LB Maddox Arnold (2025)

The 6-2, 222-pound Maddox Arnold has become a master on the camp circuit.

He’s participated in camps at Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky and Michigan this year alone. Last summer, he camped at Alabama, Louisville, Northwestern and Ohio State. However, none of those schools have offered him.

Although his only Power Five scholarship offer is from Purdue, Arnold recently claimed linebacker MVP at a Michigan camp.

He does not yet hold an On3 or On3 Industry Ranking. One primary recruiting media service rates him as a three-star recruit (86) and ranks him as the No. 40 linebacker and No. 20 prospect in Ohio in 2025.

Rocklin (Calif.) High OT Garrison Blank (2025)

Garrison Blank has picked up scholarship offers from Arizona State, California, Oregon State and Washington State after camping in front of coaches from those programs. He also received an Arizona offer last September.

At 6-7, 305-pound Blank’s size alone should pique the interest of college football programs. It certainly should have Notre Dame offensive line coach Joe Rudolph’s curiosity on Thursday.

Blank does not have an On3 or On3 Industry Ranking.

Sacramento (Calif.) Christian Brothers DB Ezekiel Caztex (2025)

Another California product, the 5-10, 160-pound Ezekiel Caztek, has three scholarship offers from Pac-12 schools. Arizona State, Washington and Washington State have deemed Castex’s skillset Power Five worthy. Now, he hopes Notre Dame does too.

Caztex does not have an On3 or On3 Industry Ranking.

Granite Bay (Calif.) High RB Isaiah Ene (2026)

The 5-9, 192-pound Isaiah Ene comes to Notre Dame with the strongest profile of any rising high school sophomore. After his freshman season, he reported scholarship offers from Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Washington.

In 13 games as a freshman, Ene had 764 yards and nine touchdowns on 108 carries. He also exceeded the century mark in three separate outings. On3 has not yet ranked 2026 recruits.

New Palestine (Ind.) High DL Michael Thacker (2025)

The 6-2, 260-pound Michael Thacker is the only recruit of the seven who previously visited Notre Dame. He attended the California game on Sep. 17. Thacker is also the only participant with an SEC offer (Tennessee).

Thacker also reports a scholarship offer from West Virginia and seven Group of Five programs. Though he does not have an On3 or On3 Industry Ranking rating, one primary recruiting media service rates him as a three-star recruit (86). It ranks him as the No. 40 defensive lineman and No. 6 prospect in Indiana in 2025.
