Jalen Hurts injury update: Adam Schefter reveals latest on Eagles QB, status for NFC Championship
Although QB Jalen Hurts was injured again yesterday in Philadelphia’s divisional win, ESPN’s Adam Schefter expects him to play this weekend in the NFC Championship.
Schefter spoke on Hurts’ availability for Sunday after the knee injury he had against the LA Rams while on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’. He said he sees no reason to not yet expect him to play against the Washington Commanders with him coming back into the game and playing with it against LA.
“Well, I think the first thing we operate under is he came back in and he finished the game. So it’s hard to imagine he came back in, finished the game, and he wouldn’t be out there this next week – short of testing and finding something, which we haven’t heard to be the case just yet,” said Schefter. “So, barring anything unexpected, I expect that Jalen Hurts would be out there next week.”
“Now, he’s taken a beating here in the last month or so between the concussion, between that injury yesterday. I don’t know that he’s going to be operating at full strength for Sunday’s NFC Championship game. But I think, at this point, with the exception of more news coming in, it would be an upset if he’s not out there.”
