2026 QB Jarin Mock decommits from Wisconsin Badgers

2026 QB Jarin Mock decommits from Wisconsin Badgers

Pickerington North (Ohio) 2026 three-star quarterback Jarin Mock has decommitted from Wisconsin, he announced Tuesday evening on social media.

“After a brief conversation with Wisconsin they are no longer honoring my commitment. With that being said, my recruitment is 100% open,” Mock wrote.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Columbus-area QB is the nation’s No. 536 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Mock committed to the Badgers under former UW offensive coordinator Phil Longo, who was let go in November. Longo spent two years on the Badgers’ staff under Fickell for a total of 23 games.

Mock’s decommitment drops Wisconsin to one committed recruit early on in the 2026 cycle: Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean three-star interior offensive lineman Benjamin Novak. Novak has been pledged to the Badgers since Oct. 7.

“Everything made sense for me,” Novak told On3. “I wanted to be an elite student-athlete and I feel I get all those attributes at Wisconsin. You get the academic side. You get to play great football. Wisconsin is constantly referred to as o-line university and I feel their o-line coach Coach Blazek meets those standards of being an elite o-line coach.
