Kentucky WBB jumps to No. 12 in AP Poll after two more blowout SEC wins
Kentucky women’s basketball’s dominant start to SEC play has the Wildcats on the rise.
In the Week 11 AP Poll that was released on Monday, Kentucky (15-1) was slotted at No. 12 following a pair of wins over Florida on the road (71-55) and Auburn at home (80-61) — a three-spot increase from last week’s poll. Kenny Brooks has coached his group to a 4-0 record against SEC opponents, the program’s best conference start since 2012-13. UK has won all four league games by a combined average of 18.7 points per contest.
Kentucky is one of seven SEC schools in this week’s Top 25. UK has also shot up the NET rankings since last Monday, going from No. 23 to No. 17. On the season, the Wildcats are 1-1 in Quad 1 opportunities, 4-0 in Quad 2, 2-0 in Quad 3, and 8-0 in Quad 4.
