Early notes from Georgia official visits this weekend

Early notes from Georgia official visits this weekend

Trying to piece together all I can on Sunday after the officials have wrapped up in Athens, especially the latest on Creekside defensive lineman Michai Borieau.

What I am hearing as of 8pm, a final decision has not been made by his family.

I said it last week and felt that way coming into this weekend that Florida was the leader here. Georgia had ground to make up for the local big man and it certainly feels like they did from a few sources close to this. How much of a move did they make? That is something we are going to find out in the next 12 hours, he is set to decide at 11am on Monday.

If I had to make a pick tonight, I would probably go with Florida, slightly.

One source close to this told me on Sunday night, “family wants to think on it before a final decision.”

More notes on the defensive line…

One prospect I think Georgia made some ground on is four-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland from California. Do not forget, he is a teammate of another major Georgia target in 2024 running back Nate Frazier. I am told Georgia felt this visit went as good as possibly could with he and his family. I think Oregon is the team that gives UGA the most threat and he has a visit left there as well. Georgia made a really strong impression on him though, very interested in what else we hear in the next few days.

More coming from this weekend… we’ll have you covered throughout the day tomorrow.
