FSU lands another playmaker as former Vols WR Squirrel White commits to ‘Noles

Recruiting in the transfer portal moves fast, and that was evident once again with Florida State’s recruitment of former Tennessee Vols receiver Squirrel White.

White entered the portal last week, quickly set up a visit to FSU and has now committed to become a Seminole. White committed to the Seminoles on Sunday.

The former SEC receiver had over 1,500 yards and six touchdowns in his career in Knoxville. His best season with the Vols came in 2023 when he had 803 yards and two touchdowns receiving.

Out of high school in Alabama, White was a very sought-after four-star prospect that was ranked as the No. 7 prospect in that talent-rich state.

In White, Florida State is getting a speedy wideout with the ability to make big plays after the catch. He also brings years of SEC experience, which should bolster a position group that struggled greatly in 2024.

White joins former Southern Cal wideout Duce Robinson, who committed to Florida State last month.
