After Wednesday’s postponement due to the New Orleans New Year’s Day truck attack, Notre Dame and Georgia meet in the Sugar Bowl with a ticket to the College Football Playoff semifinals up for grabs. The winner will meet Penn State in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 9.
Georgia comes in after a first-round bye and will start Gunner Stockton in his first career start. Notre Dame rolls in after blowing out Indiana. The Bulldogs have a 3-0 series lead with Notre Dame. Kickoff is scheduled at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday on ESPN.

Notre Dame went a quick three-and-out on its first drive. A 10-yard penalty for an illegal forward pass on Riley Leonard’s first pass of the game derailed the Fighting Irish’s drive. Georgia takes over on its 19-yard line.
