Davis Warren injury: Michigan QB exits ReliaQuest Bowl vs. Alabama
Michigan starting quarterback Davis Warren was injured early during the third quarter of Tuesday’s ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama.
Warren was sacked on third down. He tried to walk off, before collapsing to the ground and eventually being helped off.
ESPN sideline reporter Sherree Burruss provided an update on Davis Warren during the broadcast.
“He’s currently back in the locker room. We saw Davis go down, immediately grabbing that knee. Here you see him walking into the locker room. I’m told he is still being evaluated,” Burruss said. “He was favoring that right leg. He was in the blue medical tent, only three minutes or so with the trainers. Came out, jogged a little bit. Looked a little uncertain.
“Went to the bench. Teammates were hugging him. I heard him tell the guys, ‘Go finish.’ But he is in the locker room still being evaluated.”
