Overtime OT7 Finals: Latest notes and recruiting intel from Day 2

LOS ANGELES — Much like it was on Day 1, there was again no shortage of talent on display during Day 2 of the Overtime OT7 Finals on Friday in Los Angeles. Multiple five-star prospects in the 2024 and 2025 classes were on hand, along with some of the most coveted blue-chippers in the country as they took the field in 7-on-7 action. Elite 2024 prospects Ellis Robinson IV (Georgia commit) and Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State commit) went head-to-head in the evening session, and LSU QB commit Colin Hurley put on an impressive performance after finishing out the Elite 11 earlier on Friday.
On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons and national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman have compiled the latest intel on some of the nation’s best committed and uncommitted prospects.

Latest recruiting intel on top 2024 and 2025 prospects
Four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson is committed to Miami, but Florida is a school to keep an eye on. He has taken an official visit to Florida, he likes Billy Gonzales and he plans to be back in Gainesville in July. Nothing has changed with Miami, and he still is high on the Hurricanes, but the Gators are hanging around.
Alabama has pushed hard in recent weeks with elite tight end Caleb Odom, the No. 3 player at his position in the On300, and positioned themselves well for whenever he does decide. Ole Miss was trending for a good chunk of the spring, but this summer Alabama reshuffled their board and he went to the top. A few people close to this believe Alabama is in the pole position when a decision comes.
There was some buzz around USC with Jason Mitchell‘s name a few months ago, but things seem to have opened up more for the four-star defensive back. He is looking to visit Ohio State next week. LSU has been a constant, too. Maybe the school with the most buzz around it is Utah, but things could still go a few different ways in this race.
Four-star defensive back and former Michigan State commit Jamari Howard was originally planning to visit Florida officially this weekend. He decided to play in the OT7 though and is looking to reschedule his visit to the Swamp. Florida and Florida State are two in-state schools I hear a lot about around Howard’s name, but there is a little buzz about UCF too. Rutgers got an official visit also, but all signs point toward Howard staying in state right now.
California-based four-star receiver Jordan Ross is keeping his option open, but he is set to take his first official visit to Colorado State next weekend. He is talking a lot to Arizona and Washington State too. A decision is not expected soon.
Four-star safety Ricardo Jones is expected to commit on June 27. He will visit Florida State next weekend, and the Seminoles have a shot, but the Clemson Tigers may be tough to beat. There was buzz around Jones’ name coming off of his official visit to Clemson earlier this month and the ACC program is still trending.
July 22 is the commitment date for elite 2025 wideout Jaime Ffrench. There is buzz around Alabama coming off a visit to Tuscaloosa earlier this month. Florida State has always been there high on his list as well. Either way, Ffrench plans to take official visits and continue to communicate with schools after his commitment. Alabama looks to be in the best spot.
There does not look to be much going on with top 2025 safety Anquon Fegans‘ recruitment. He committed to USC shortly after his brother Tre’quon Fegans announced he was transferring there from Alabama. It is still early, and others are going to pursue, like Alabama and Georgia, but it will take a lot to change this one.
An Alabama offer got 2025 four-star QB Duece Knight‘s attention. He looked to have Ole Miss and Tennessee on top of his list prior to that offer, and now the Crimson Tide are up there too. Notre Dame is a school outside the SEC to keep an eye on, but the early buzz is Knight will stay closer to home.
It would be a little surprising if 2025 four-star RB Isaiah Mozee ends up anywhere other than Oklahoma. He is going to take his visits, and national schools are in pursuit, but his father played for the Sooners, he grew up a big fan of the program and he is already comfortable with the staff in Norman. He was with his teammate Williams Nwaneri on his official visit to Oklahoma last weekend.
Coveted 2025 Texas running back Deondrae Riden went to USC for the first time on Wednesday. Kiel McDonald offered him in eighth grade when he was previously at Utah. USC is a big deal to him, and he’s set to visit Ohio State next.
Elite 2025 wide receiver Adrian Wilson will camp and work out for Ohio State next week. Brian Hartline spoke to him on the phone Thursday, and an offer from the Buckeyes is expected. Also locked in to visit Oklahoma in July, and the Sooners are trending here early on.
Olney (Md.) three-star wideout Elijah Moore has a top three of Maryland, Ohio State, and Florida State with the Buckeyes the leader in the clubhouse. He will take an OV to Florida State next weekend, but I like Brian Hartline here.
