Ole Miss commit Demond Williams Jr. continues to stand out at Elite 11 Finals after Day Two

Basha (Ariz.) quarterback and Ole Miss commit Demond Williams Jr. was already motivated heading into this week’s Elite 11 Finals in Redondo Beach, Calif. The 5-foot-11, 180 pound prospect knew what he was capable of and now others in attendance are starting to see it, too.
After a strong day one, Williams turned up the heat on Thursday.
“Demond Williams Jr. had good timing and accuracy for the second straight day,” Power said. “The Ole Miss commit got the ball out of his hand quickly and was accurate in the short and intermediate areas of the field.
“Williams is more at home in that area as opposed to a deep passer at this time,” Power said. “He threw a nice, tight spiral. Williams is one of the top athletes on hand, as evidenced by his light-footed, bouncy movements.”
During the Pro Day segment of the competition, Demond Williams Jr. showed off his precision and athleticism.
“We charted him as on target on 16 of 20 passes. He was bouncy in his movements and to the ball out quick, spinning it well,” Power said. “The Elite 11 staff score for Williams Jr. was 41.”

He just missed making the Top Performers list on Day One but drew high praise from the national analysts in attendance.
Heading into Day Three, Williams is ranked among the 11 finalists competing to be in the mix to be named THE Elite 11 winner.
“He is among the best athletes of the Elite 11 Finalists,” Power said on Wednesday. “The Arizona native just missed making the Top Performers and turned in a solid first day. Williams showed some encouraging polish as a passer. The ball came out of his hand cleanly and he made accurate throws both on and off-platform.”
