NASCAR reveals tentative schedule for most of 2025 season

The NASCAR schedule for 2025 is starting to be fleshed out. We now have most of the season with a tentative schedule in place. That means fans can start to make travel and viewing plans for their favorite races.

NASCAR has the schedule planned out for the season at this point. Of course, they know where they will race, but the logistics of what time, when, how do you fit the other series into the weekend, etc still matter.

Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports shared the schedule with fans. Here is what it looks like without the times listed.

Those times are not listed at the moment. With how far out the season is, exact times and things can change a lot. But this schedule tells you what to expect if you spend the weekend at Las Vegas or Michigan or Iowa.

This is a really diverse and fun schedule for NASCAR. Not just the Cup Series but also the Xfinity and Truck Series.

Races will be held at Bowman Gray, North Wilkesboro, Mexico City, Chicago, Iowa, Lime Rock Park, and even Rockingham. Cup will be at all of those tracks except for Lime Rock and Rockingham.

NASCAR fans are going to be happy with the schedule. Yes, there could be more practice sessions, but there will be a little more practice in 2025. Small improvements, folks.

NASCAR schedule includes more practice, simpler qualifying

In 2025 NASCAR fans won’t just be treated to a fun schedule. They are going to have an increase in on-track action. There will be five minutes of additional practice for the Cup Series at most tracks. From 20 to 25 minutes total.

Fans going to the Daytona 500 will finally have practice back. Teams will get 50 minutes to do as they wish on the track and dial in their cars ahead of the Duels. That’s amazing news for those Daytona fans.

The biggest change has to be qualifying. Whatever the Hell NASCAR was doing to end the year this year, forget about it. No more Group A goes into the inside while Group B gets the outside and slower cars start in front of faster ones.

So, on top of a great schedule, NASCAR fans are going to see single-round qualifying at most tracks this season. Fastest car is on the pole and the starting grid is based on, get this, the times set in qualifying in order from fastest then to slowest. Amazing concept, and I’m glad NASCAR had the brain power to think of it.
