MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
There is zero doubt that the CFP Committee is like a rudderless ship … Posted by Dr Mike
To begin with I agree that Miami is at best a fringe CFP team. I am one that agreed that Alabama’s body of work against ranked teams and their win over Georgia presented a better resume even with the 3 losses than the Canes. But can someone explain to me what is different with SMU? To me the only difference is the committee does not want to set a precedent for teams that lose in their conference Championship game. Again like we witness last year with FSU, the criteria keeps changing like the wind. Last year undefeated FSU wins the ACC but because they lost their starting QB, left out and that was wrong. This year a set of criteria last week and today a different set. This guy Manuel today was double talking with the best politicians. I can state with 100% certainty that this 12 team CFP is a mess.
