Purdue flips JC WR Jayden Dixon-Veal from Oregon State

Purdue has augmented its wideout unit by flipping junior college product Jayden Dixon-Veal from his commitment to Oregon State, announcing his pledge to the Boilermakers on Wednesday morning. He’ll join the team for 2023 with two years of eligibility.

A product of the College of San Mateo in California, Dixon-Veal visited Purdue unofficially last weekend and subsequently committed to Oregon State. Now, the native of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., is headed to Purdue after also considering Illinois.

He’ll be the second JC transfer Purdue has added for 2023, joining cornerback Botros Alisandro.

The arrival of the 6-0, 180-pound Dixon-Veal buffers the departure of Corey Gammage, a transfer from Marshall who recently left to play for UCF.

A member of the Class of 2020, Dixon-Veal had offers out of high school to Eastern Washington, Sacramento State, Idaho and Nevada, he signed with Sacramento State, but enrolled at College of San Mateo.
