Bears, Caleb Williams make insane time-management blunder to lose despite having timeout vs. Lions
Use it or lose it. The timeout and the game.
The Chicago Bears lost to the Detroit Lions 23-20 on Thanksgiving Day in bizarre fashion. Quarterback Caleb Williams was sacked during the Bears’ final drive with over 30 seconds left in regulation. With one timeout left, the Bears opted to let the clock run in an attempt for one final 41-yard prayer to the end zone.
It fell short, and questions surrounding clock management on the Chicago side of the isle began right away.
