Kenny Dillingham calls for Cam Skattebo to get Heisman Trophy love
The 2024 college football season has nearly winded down. And plenty of hardware is about to be dished about, including one of the most coveted prizes of all, the Heisman Trophy. Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo continues to show that he’s one of the best all-purpose backs in America. And on the Wednesday evening of SportsCenter on ESPN, ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham pounded the table for his superstar to get some more love for the Heisman Trophy.
The Sun Devils currently sit at 9-2 overall and there’s no question that Skattebo has carried them all season long. He’s already racked up 1,221 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. As a receiver, he’s also hauled in 34 catches for 460 yards and two touchdowns.
In 2023, Skattebo piled up over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 11 total touchdowns for the Sun Devils. For his college football career, he’s already tallied over 3,600 total rushing yards and over 1,000 receiving yards, establishing himself as one of the elite all-purpose backs in the game today. The California native has 40 total touchdowns, displaying his knack finding the end zone, both as a receiver and on the ground.
