Top PFF grades from No. 3 Texas’ 31-14 win over Kentucky
No. 3 Texas defeated the Kentucky Wildcats, 31-14, from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Here’s how the team graded out via PFF.

OFFENSE
QB – Quinn Ewers, 61.2
The Longhorns’ QB walked on Senior Day and played a decent game – 20-of-31, 191 yards passing, two touchdowns, one turnover, and likely his last game at DKR for the third-year starting signal-caller.
RB – Tre Wisner, 77.6, Jaydon Blue, 65.1
The two-headed monsters at running back carried the Horns on Saturday to the tune of 251 rushing yards and a pair of scores. Wisner netted a career-high 158 yards on the ground and one score, while Blue added 96 yards rushing and another touchdown.
WR – Isaiah Bond, 59.7, Matthew Golden, 69.6
Golden always seems to be open and continues to be one of Ewers favorites in the WR room. Golden finished with 86 yards receiving on a team-high seven catches, pacing the Horns passing attack.
TE – Gunnar Helm, 63.9
Helm loves the end zone. He also loves leading the team in catches and TD receptions. He finished was 52 yards receiving on five catches and two scoring grabs in the red zone.
OL – Kelvin Banks, 75.2, Hayden Conner, 66.2, DJ Campbell, 64.4
The Longhorns offensive line played another clean game, leading the Horns offensive attack with 442 total yards, including 251 on the ground. Texas leaned on the O-line down the stretch calling 15 consecutive running plays over an 8-minute stretch in the last stanza.
DEFENSE
DL/EDGE – Alfred Collins, 66.3, Colin Simmons, 88.6, Barryn Sorrell, 68.8
The defensive line held it down on Saturday. Sorrell notched five tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one sack. Collins added four tackles, and Simmons collected two tackles for loss and one sack.
LB – Anthony Hill Jr, 81.0, Liona Lefau, 57.6
Hill Jr led the linebackers with 11 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks in one of his best performances of 2024. Lefau added four stops for the linebackers.
CB – Jahdae Barron, 58.6, Malik Muhammad, 65.9
Barron continues his march towards the Thorpe Award, given to the nation’s top defensive back. Muhammad and Gavin Holmes were solid in coverage.
S/N – Michael Taaffe, 64.8, Andrew Mukuba, 86.0, Jelani McDonald, 73.4
Led by Taaffe and Mukuba, the safeties were fantastic. Taaffe tallied five tackles and Mukuba added an INT on his last play at DKR. But McDonald’s interception in the first half was the play of the game.
