Purdue at Indiana odds: Early point spread released for Old Oaken Bucket rivalry, How to Watch
One of the Big Ten’s storied rivalries will be renewed in Week 14 when Indiana and Purdue square off. Ahead of the battle for the Old Oaken Bucket, the early point spread has been released.
The Hoosiers opened as 25.5-point favorites over the Boilermakers, according to FanDuel. The over-under also opened at 56.5.
Indiana has been one of the biggest stories in college football this year, entering Week 13 as a Top-5 team in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Hoosiers started out strong against Ohio State, but the Buckeyes found their rhythm and eventually came away with the resounding victory at The Horseshoe. It marked IU’s first loss of the season.
As for Purdue, it’s been a rough go in Year 2 of the Ryan Walters era. The Boilermakers have lost 10 games in a row since a season-opening victory over Indiana State, including a Friday night loss to Michigan State marred by dropped passes.

Indiana is looking to remain in the College Football Playoff picture despite the loss to Ohio State, and the Hoosiers’ strength of schedule has come into question. They entered Week 13 with the No. 106-ranked strength of schedule in the country, according to ESPN’s FPI, which was the second-worst of teams ranked in the Top 25.
But first-year coach Curt Cignetti didn’t want to hear about the narratives around IU. He summed it up in a way only he could.
“This is just a football game,” Cignetti said ahead of the Ohio State game. “60 minutes between the white lines. We’ve got a veteran group, right? We earned the right to be here. There’s no magic wand. We’ve got the largest victory margin, in college football, right? There’s a narrative out there that’s created another chip for us. People can stick that narrative up their you know what.”
