Jameis Winston scrambles, leaps for 4th-quarter TD amid whiteout snow conditions vs. Steelers

As snow fell at Huntington Bank Field – nearly creating whiteout conditions – Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns went for a fourth down to go up 12 points. When he couldn’t find any open receivers, he did it himself.

Winston escaped the pocket and scrambled toward the end zone, leaping past the Steelers defenders for the touchdown to put the Browns up 18-6. It was quite the scene on a snowy night in Cleveland, with grounds crew members clearing off the field between plays.

Cleveland then went for the two-point conversion, and Winston made more magic happen. He found David Njoku for a wild catch to make it an 18-6 Browns lead with 12:16 to play in the game.

It was quite the scene in Cleveland as the snow picked up and the game broadcast became harder to see. Winston and the Browns were looking to pull off the victory over the rival Steelers and improve to 3-8 on the year, and they looked like they were well on their way.

However, a strip-sack on the ensuing possession gave Pittsburgh the ball back, and Russell Wilson capitalized. He found Calvin Austin in the end zone to re-take the lead, 19-18, after the two-point conversion attempt failed.
