Judge Collier injury update: Shane Beamer reveals hospital visit during game
South Carolina coach Shane Beamer revealed postgame after a 34-30 win against Missouri that defensive back Judge Collier was taken to the hospital. The safety suffered an upper body injury and the team’s medical staff wanted him to go through additional testing.
Thankfully, the coach revealed that Collier is “fine” and the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. He also provided an update on a couple of other injured players.
“We actually took Judge to the hospital,” he said. “He had an upper body injury that, when I walked out on the field to check on him, he felt OK. Then they just wanted to take him to the hospital to check on him. His parents went with him. Everything is fine. So he’ll be OK.
“The tight ends, we’ll see. Brady (Hunt)‘s got a little bit of a lower leg injury. Mike Smith‘s got an upper body injury. They’ll be OK. Hopefully we’ll know more tomorrow.”
