Trevor Etienne injury update: Georgia adds two more RBs to availability report

Georgia has two running backs out for its clash with No. 7 Tennessee on Saturday and now two more are questionable. According to the first availability report of the week, both Trevor Etienne and Cash Jones are questionable for the game.

Etienne is battling a rib injury that has limited his touches in each of the past two games. Jones injury is undisclosed as he was serving as the Bulldogs No. 3 running back with Branson Robinson (knee) and Roderick Robinson (toe) missing at least the past two games. Both are listed as out for Tennessee.

Nate Frazier, who has led the team in carries the past two games, is the only fully healthy tailback with any experience on Georgia’s roster. Etienne is the team’s leading rusher in his first season at UGA despite missing the season opener while serving a suspension for reckless driving.

Two more Georgia players are listed as questionable, junior offensive lineman Micah Morris and sophomore wideout Anthony Evans. Morris missed the Ole Miss game with an ankle injury. He was questionable all week and a game-time decision on Saturday’s availability report.

Evans has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. He was labeled “out” all week heading into each of those games. The questionable tag is an upgrade for the Texas native, who also serves as Georgia’s punt and kickoff return man.

Freshman defensive end Joseph Jonah-Ajoyne is also out for the game. He’s done for the rest of the season according to Kirby Smart. The Georgia head coach told reporters a couple of weeks ago that Jonah-Ajonye had surgery for a lower extremity injury and will be out the rest of the way.

Georgia will take on Tennessee this Saturday with its College Football Playoff hopes on the line. The Bulldogs are favored by 10 points and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
