Fran McCaffery on the win over South Dakota

Fran McCaffery was proud of the way his Iowa team responded to the absence of one of their key players, big man Owen Freeman. He was particularly proud of big men Ladji Dembele, Even Brauns, and Riley Mulvey, who all chipped on the way to the Hawkeyes 96-77 victory on Tuesday evening.

Following the win, McCaffery discussed the play of Josh Dix and his outstanding and efficient stat line, the play of Seydou Traore, and the continued development of Cooper Koch early in the season.
