WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, of course, we had a preview/analysis and all your recaps off a massive official visit weekend that included a quartet of five-star prospects. So don’t miss all those updates.
Among them was the commitment of Theodore (Al.) 2024 three-star linebacker Cameron Pruitt, and we had an inside look at what went into his decision to become a Miami Hurricane.
Another new Hurricane from this weekend? That was from the transfer portal, with Miami adding Louisville grad transfer LB K.J. Cloyd. So you can read all about that, too.
There was other recruiting news as well.
We catch up with Miami Norland 2025 standout athlete Jade Card, who already visited UM a handful of times, most recently for the June 8 Mario Cristobal camp. Find out what he’s saying.
A new offer coming out of that June 8 camp? That was to Palm Beach (Fla.) Central class of 2025 EDGE Romando Johnson, and we have an update on where he stands now.
Another offer that went out following a standout performance at Mario Cristobal’s camp on Thursday was to fast-rising 2025 Miami (Fla.) Norland ATH Darryll Desir. You don’t want to miss where the Canes now stand on his list.
And, for the second time this year, 2025 Lucas (Tex.) Lovejoy wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon traveled to Coral Gables. That was a week ago for an unofficial visit with the Miami Hurricanes, and he fills us in on where things stand.
Also be sure to check out our news and notes story coming out of the latest Mario Cristobal summer camp session.
Then we have football news for you. Mario Cristobal spoke about the change of culture in the program and touched on several other subjects, too. You can read about that. There are a few football team analysis stories for you, too. We break down the top three offenses and defense that the Miami Hurricanes will face this season. With new coordinators Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry on board, these will be the programs that probably give them the most challenges. Also, on the heels of the CaneSport staff making their predictions for wins and losses this year, we take a closer look at metrics and data points to figure out a realistic projection for Miami’s season record.
Plus we continue to count down the top 50 post-spring players on the roster, a list that doesn’t include any post-spring roster additions. We have breakdowns on No. 13 OL Jalen Rivers, No. 12 WR Colbie Young and No. 11 TE Elijah Arroyo.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Incredible rate of consistency … Posted by VBCane
I am thoroughly impressed at the communication Miami Coaches seem to have with every kid they are recruiting. It is mind boggling the effort and consistency of the staff, to make sure that every kid feels that A. They are a priority and B. The staff communicates with me more than any other school. I have not read an article since Marios regime started that doesn’t echo those two sentiments. From a leadership standpoint, I would love to know how mario and the recruiting staff are able to accomplish this feat with every single recruit. It doesn’t matter who the other schools are that are ranked in the top ten of a recruit…Miami always is the one communicating the most. It’s utterly mind blowing…
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
“One thing is for sure and that is he is recruiting dudes. After talking to him, I know I’ll be one of those dudes that he is recruiting.”
Lucas (Tex.) Lovejoy wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon, on Kevin Beard
