Social media reacts to Florida keeping Billy Napier as head coach

Earlier this afternoon, Florida Gators athletic director Scott Stricklin announced that head football coach Billy Napier will be returning for his fourth season in Gainesville. His statement can be viewed here.
As expected, that has resulted in plenty of reaction across social media. Below are some notable ones.
A decent coach would have UF 4-2, 5-3 at the worst right now. Lets spend a ton of money & load up a roster for Billy Napier so he can go 7-5next year. We bring him back 2026 & he has a 9-3 type season with a *legitimately* generational talent QB. We’re on the Mike Norvell plan .
It’s right to make the decision now and not after the season. Right or not to keep him idk. They have to hire an established coach. They can’t fire Billy and replace him with another Billy type. Who is leaving their current situation to go rebuild Florida and their NIL?

Restructure his contract. Shorten the length of it and the buyout. Enforce an outside OC hire in writing. Dump any and all available dollars into portal/NIL. Pray to God this doesn’t blow up in our faces next year.
We’re kind stuck between a rock and hard place. If we fire him who do we replace him that’ll give us the “instant results” success that everyone wants? Lane Kiffen is too established at ole miss
Regardless of how I feel about this, the university publicly backing him to silence doubt is a good idea. Helps with recruiting and retaining and the portal.
Give it a rest and support Gator teams no matter what. It takes time and patience to rebuild a culture and program the right way. Basketball is on the rise and football is finally going the right direction. Go Gators
Oh my god. You’ll be singing a different tune next year when we’re 10 wins or better with DJ Lagway and Baugh. I’m tired of seeing people dismiss coaches so fast. This is ridiculous.
