Patrick Mahomes injury update: Chiefs QB reveals latest on ankle after OT win vs. Buccaneers
Kansas City Chiefs (8-0) quarterback Patrick Mahomes provided an update on the severity of his ankle injury following Monday’s 30-24 Week 9 home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5).
Mahomes said he rolled his ankle at the beginning of the fourth quarter, appearing to avoid a significant injury. He expects to be ready to play in this coming Sunday’s Week 10 home tilt against the Denver Broncos (5-4).
“I rolled my ankle,” Mahomes told Lisa Salters of ESPN. “I rolled it last week and when you roll it again, it never feels good. As I got some time, started feeling better. Got a short week, but we’ll rehab it and I’ll be ready to go next week.”
