2025 4-star IOL Kaden Strayhorn recaps trio of SEC trips

IMG Academy (Fla.) 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn is set to hit Big Ten country for a trio visits to Michigan State, Michigan and Ohio State next week. Those visits come on the heels of Strayhorn visits three of the SEC’s top programs last week.

The No. 294 player in the 2025 cycle, Strayhorn took back-to-back-to-back visits to Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. Each visit only helped the schools rise in Strayhorn’s eyes as all three jumped higher up his list.

“This trip was really good connecting with each school,” Strayhorn told On3. “Getting to see them back-to-back-to-back with no time in-between really let me have a sharp understanding of what each school has. When I went to the next one, I could see what things they had in common and what they didn’t so it was easy for me to process everything.”

Strayhorn noted that the trip to Georgia in particular was eye-opening for him. He left his first trip to Athens with an offer and says he fully experienced why the Bulldogs have had so much success under Kirby Smart.

During the visit he met up with some former IMG teammates who were now playing for the Bulldogs and his younger sister, a basketball standout, was given a tour of the basketball facilities. Strayhorn himself was able to go through a private workout in front of the Bulldogs coaching staff.

“It turned up being one of my favorites of the the three,” Strayhorn said. “They just showed so much hospitality and seeing the entire facility, that’s the best there is in the world. The seats in the locker room are made out of Lamborghini leather for the players. Everything they have there is just amazing.

“Seeing all that, it just puts Georgia way up there for me and my family. We have to discuss that and go back to the drawing board with that one.”

Alabama and Tennessee also impressed Strayhorn

As impressed as he was with Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee left positive impressions on him. Following all three of the visits, Strayhorn noted that each of the three were amongst his top schools along with Texas.

The trip to Tuscaloosa was the second for Strayhorn. This trip was more in-depth though as the last came during a game against Tennessee.

Strayhorn said that he met with Alabama freshman offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor was able to explore the football facility and was impressed by the new weight room. More than anything though, the meeting with Alabama head coach Nick Saban was the highlight of the visit.

“The discussion with Coach Saban went really well and he’s a really smart guy,” Strayhorn said. “He’s older but doesn’t come across as too old to coach. I think he’s going to continue coaching he can’t anymore.”

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel also made a great impression on Strayhorn and his family.

Strayhorn said that Tennessee offered him in eighth grade when he was playing defensive tackle. Now an offensive lineman, Tennessee o-line coach Glen Elarbee recently told him that he still has an offer from Tennessee.

“When we got up to Knoxville, it was a totally different experience because I was going up as an o-lineman,” Strayhorn said. “We went bowling and I met up with Coach Heupel for an hour. He was literally just sitting with us the entire time we were bowling and talked with with my parents. We went to his office afterwards and they took my sister to the basketball facility as well.

“He said that they needed to make her happy which is great. We all love him and he’s really in touch with what kids like these days. My parents liked him a lot, we we talked for a long time and I really enjoyed the conversation.”
