Indianapolis Colts benching Anthony Richardson for Joe Flacco

In the midst of an uneven sophomore season, the Indianapolis Colts have decided to bench quarterback Anthony Richardson, elevating veteran Joe Flacco to the role of their starter.

“A QB change for the Colts: Indianapolis is benching former first-round pick Anthony Richardson and turning to veteran Joe Flacco, sources tell @FowlerESPN and me,” Schefter posted on X. “Coaches met this morning and made the seismic organizational decision to change QBs.”
