Trevon Diggs confronts reporter with NSFW rant over social media post following 49ers loss
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs got heated with a reporter as frustrations boiled over following a 30-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. Diggs took offense to a post on X, formerly Twitter, from local television anchor Mike Leslie.
Leslie questioned what Diggs was doing on a play in the third quarter where tight end George Kittle made his way down the sideline toward the end zone. Diggs appeared to let up on the play, allowing a few extra yards for Kittle, who was ultimately stopped just short of a touchdown. The 49ers scored the go-ahead TD on the very next play.
Diggs saw the post from Leslie and went to confront the reporter about it afterward.
“Out of that whole play, that’s what you took from that?” he said. “You don’t know football. You can’t do nothing that I do. You can’t go out there and do nothing. Stay in your, buddy. Stop playing with me.”
Leslie responded by asking Diggs to answer the question as to what he was doing and saying that “we can talk about it more.” The cornerback clearly had no intention of doing so, however, as he replied with “talk about these nuts.”
