Chris Hilton, CJ Daniels injury update: Tigers WR’s status revealed on LSU-Arkansas Wednesday report
LSU and Arkansas are set to square off in a pivotal SEC matchup that could propel the winner forward into the second half of the season, but the injury report looms large.
While Arkansas is coming off a bye week following a thrilling win over then-No. 4 Tennessee, LSU is trying to regroup after an emotional overtime win over Ole Miss.
That win kept the Tigers firmly in the College Football Playoff hunt, where they hope to remain following this weekend’s contest.
But it will be anyone’s game, so the status of those on the Wednesday injury report will bear monitoring as the week plays out and the game gets closer. So without further ado, here’s Wednesday’s report.
LSU
LB Harold Perkins Jr.–Out
WR Kyle Parker–Out
RB John Emery Jr.–Out
DE Princeton Malbrue–Out
OL Kobe Roberts–Out
LB Jake Ibieta–Out
OL Tyree Adams–Out
DT Jacobian Guillory–Out
WR Chris Hilton Jr.–Questionable
WR CJ Daniels
Arkansas

RB Rodney Hill–Doubtful
The big name to watch for Arkansas is quarterback Taylen Green, who picked up a knee injury in the team’s win over Tennessee.
Coach Sam Pittman provided a brief update on his progress on Wednesday during an SEC teleconference call before the injury report was released.
“I have been encouraged about how he’s practiced,” Pittman said. “He’s still not full speed yet but we certainly think there’s a possibility that he can get there. We’ll have to wait and see there. Obviously we have two more practices and a walk, but have been encouraged about his progression this week.”
Green suffered a bone bruise, as checks revealed it was not an MCL injury. The Boise State transfer has accounted for 1,502 yards passing and five touchdowns, as well as 326 yards rushing and four touchdowns on the ground.
Suffice it to say, his ability to play will be a key factor.
For LSU, simply regrouping after a physical and emotionally draining game against Ole Miss will be of vital importance. And getting anyone possible off the injury report would also help.
The two teams are slated to meet at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, with a national broadcast set for ESPN.
