Newsstand: What is the spread for the Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech game?

Vegas likes Notre Dame football (5-1) to win in Atlanta on Saturday when it faces Georgia Tech (5-2) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. When Circa Sports released its opening lines for Week 8 of College Football on Sunday, the No. 12 Fighting Irish opened as an 8-point favorite over the Yellow Jackets. The over/under total is 52½ points.

Notre Dame is 4-2 against the spread this season, including 2-0 on the road. It has also exceeded the point total in three of its last four games.

Georgia Tech is 4-2-1 against the spread, with two wins coming in the season’s first two weeks. While the “over” has only hit twice, one of those times was in its 41-34 win against North Carolina last Saturday.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ESPN will have television broadcast coverage.
